Sunroofs use either tempered or laminated glass. Tempered glass is heat-treated to break into small pieces, which is why a failed sunroof often shatters all at once. Can a cracked sunroof be repaired?

Generally no. Sunroof glass that is cracked or shattered needs to be replaced to restore a safe, watertight seal.

Do you offer used sunroof glass?

Yes, for many vehicles. Used OEM sunroof glass is inspected before installation but may show normal cosmetic wear, and it's sold as-is with no warranty. A deposit is required to order it and is kept if you cancel after the glass is ordered.

Why is my sunroof leaking?

Leaks usually come from cracked glass, worn seals or clogged drain channels. We check the glass and seals when we inspect the roof.

What causes sunroof glass to break?

Common causes include falling branches or debris, rocks from the road, collisions and heat stress on glass that's already chipped.
