Our process

How the job gets done

  1. Diagnose the fault

  2. Open the door panel

    The interior door panel is removed carefully so the clips and trim go back without damage.

  3. Replace failed parts

    We replace the regulator, motor or switch as needed and reseat the glass in its track.

  4. Test and calibrate

    We run the window through full cycles and reset auto up/down and anti-pinch functions where equipped.

Regulator, motor or switch?

The regulator is the mechanism inside the door that lifts and lowers the glass, using either cables and pulleys or a scissor-style arm. Cables can fray or snap and plastic clips can break, which is why a window may drop suddenly or move crookedly.

The motor drives the regulator. A tired motor often makes the window slow, especially going up, or works only after a few tries. The switch is the simplest part but can wear out, and a window that works from one switch but not another often points there.

What to do until it's fixed

If your window is stuck open, avoid pressing the switch over and over, which can strain the motor or knock the glass further off track. Park in a garage or covered spot if you can, and don't leave valuables in the car. Then call or text us to book mobile power window repair for most makes and models.
