Getting the right quarter glass

Quarter glass varies more than most people expect, even within the same model. Before we order, it helps to know whether the glass is tinted or clear and whether it has trim, molding or small black mounting studs attached. A photo sent by text is often the quickest way to confirm the part.

If the glass broke in a collision, tell us when you book. An impact can push the body opening slightly out of shape, and knowing ahead of time lets us prepare and, where possible, compensate for it during installation.

How long it takes

For most vehicles, quarter glass replacement takes about an hour once the technician arrives. You don't need to wait by the car. Head back to work or carry on at home, and we'll let you know when it's finished.

Most quarter glass is tempered safety glass, designed to break into small pieces rather than sharp shards. That's safer on impact, but it means the glass can't be repaired once it's damaged.
